Avowed is Obsidian’s answer to The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim on Xbox

Obsidian Entertainment is likely one of the builders to wow followers throughout the Xbox Games Showcase in the present day. The studio had a trailer for its small-scale (pun meant) survival challenge Grounded, and it confirmed off the primary growth for The Outer Worlds. But then it had one thing greater. Obsidian revealed that it’s making a big-budget fantasy role-playing journey known as Avowed. This seems to be like Obsidian’s tackle Bethesda’s open-world megahits like The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Avowed is a perfect challenge for Obsidian. The studio has expertise engaged on role-playing video games like Fallout: New Vegas and Pillars of Eternity. Now it has the cash to pursue the narrative and mechanical richness it’s recognized for, together with high-production values.

Like most of the video games Microsoft confirmed in the present day, Avowed continues to be a methods off. The Xbox Series X is launching this vacation alongside Halo: Infinite. Obsidian’s new RPG won’t hit that window. But that is considered one of many video games that Microsoft is holding up as a promise of what’s to come back for anybody who will get into the Xbox ecosystem.
